Tawtheef is run by Makers of Baghdad in Baghdad, Iraq. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Tawtheef website, apps and AI connector, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have.

  1. 1. What we collect

    • Account details: your name, email address, phone number, photo, gender and date of birth, as you give them when you sign up or edit your account.
    • Your profile and CVs: headline, location, experience, education, skills, languages, links and anything else you write into a CV.
    • Company accounts: company name, logo, details and the jobs you post, and the applications you receive.
    • Activity on the jobs board: jobs you open, save, hide or apply to, and searches you run, so you can see your history on any device.
    • Messages you send through Tawtheef, and requests you send to support.
    • Technical data: your IP address and device information, used to keep the service secure and to fix errors.
  2. 2. How we use it

    • To run your account and show your CV and profile the way you choose.
    • To send the job alerts and notifications you turn on, by email, WhatsApp or push notification. You can turn each one off.
    • To let companies see your profile when you apply to their job, or when you choose to be listed in the candidate directory.
    • To check a CV against applicant tracking systems when you ask for it.
    • To keep the service safe, stop abuse, and fix problems.
    • We do not sell your personal data, and we do not show advertising based on it.
  3. 3. Who you share it with

    • Companies: only what you send when you apply, or what your directory profile shows if you turn that on.
    • Anyone with a CV share link can see that CV. Share a link only with people you want to read it.
    • Service providers who process data for us: Logto (sign-in), Cloudflare (hosting, security and file storage), Resend and Brevo (email), Google Gemini (the ATS check, only when you run it), and Sentry (error reports). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
    • When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.
  4. 4. The Tawtheef AI connector

    • You can connect Tawtheef to an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude and ask it to build or edit your CV, or to search jobs. You sign in with your Tawtheef account and approve the connection yourself.
    • The assistant only receives what its requests return: your profile, your CVs, and job listings. It cannot see your messages, applications or account settings, and it cannot change your name, email, phone or password.
    • What you type into the assistant is handled by that assistant's provider under its own privacy policy. We receive only the changes the assistant makes on your behalf.
    • You can disconnect at any time from the assistant's settings.
  5. 5. How long we keep it

    • We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, it is removed after a 30 day grace period, during which you can change your mind.
    • You can clear your jobs board history yourself at any time from the My history page.
    • Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it.
  6. 6. Your choices and rights

    • See and edit your data from your account and CV pages.
    • Download your CV as a PDF, hide yourself from the candidate directory, and turn alerts off.
    • Ask us for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by writing to [email protected].
  7. 7. Security

    • Data is sent over encrypted connections, sign-in is handled by a dedicated identity service, and access inside the team is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep it private.
  8. 8. Children

    • Tawtheef is for people looking for work and for employers. It is not meant for children under 16.
  9. 9. Changes and contact

    • If we change this policy we will update the date below, and tell you on the site or by email when the change matters.
    • Questions: [email protected], Makers of Baghdad, Baghdad, Iraq.
